Pauline Margarone born and raised in South Boston and left in 1969 returning to South Boston in December 2001 after living on Nantucket Island for twenty years and Berkeley California for five. All the while photographing her travels adventures and people.

A self-taught photographer, Pauline bought her first camera, a Kodak Brownie with her babysitting money when she was twelve. She progressed to a 35-millimeter camera and then to SLR cameras and now digital cameras.

Pauline feels that digital photography is the medium she has been waiting for.

She has taught a photography class for Children of the Young at Arts Program in South Boston, and has also given private lessons to individuals just starting out in the digital world.

A member of the South Boston Art’s Association since June 2002, she has served as, Treasurer and President. She has successfully set up and managed the co-op gallery for the South Boston Artist Assoc. Gallery SBBA That was open for two years. She has won a number of awards at local art festivals and sells her cards locally in South Boston.
